Fees can be paid by internet banking or cash.
When making payment for your lessons, please remember to include the full name of the student.
ABSENCES AND MISSED LESSONS
If the tutor is unable to teach (e.g. illness), lessons will be rescheduled or refunded. We cannot provide a rescheduling lesson or credit if you miss your lesson for any other reason (e.g. illness, sick, funeral, travel).
The tutor cannot extend the lesson time if the student arrives late.
If you cannot attend a lesson, please let us know at least 24 hours before with the reason.
LESSONS AT THE TUTOR’S HOUSE
Please wait at the entrance if the tutor is still teaching in the lesson room. Please enter after the previous student finishes their lesson. Being in the same space during a private lesson may make students nervous or self-conscious.
Please do not touch other equipment or the tutor's personal belongings in the house and lesson room. Please treat musical instruments with care. Do not hit or kick the piano body, keys, and pedals.
When picking up students after their lesson, please be able to come 5 minutes before the lesson ends to avoid them waiting in the tutor’s home.
DISCLAIMER
Parents or guardians are requested to pick up and drop off students for their lessons, grade exams, and for performances.
In the unlikely event that there is an accident during a lesson or performance, the tutor claims no responsibility.
Please refrain from using the musical instruments, sheet music, and other belongings of the tutor in the lesson room without permission.

WITHDRAWAL FROM LESSONS
Let the tutor know when you plan on withdrawing from lessons before the next new term starts.
Term lesson fees cannot be refunded which you have already paid.
For absences of 1-2 months, paying 50% of your total lesson fees will reserve your slot. We cannot guarantee being able to reserve your slot for longer than 2 months, and regular weekly students take priority at this stage.
In addition, if the instructor finds it difficult to continue the lesson due to various reasons, you may be asked to withdraw from the membership.
ABSENCES AND MISSED LESSONS
If the tutor is unable to teach (e.g. illness), lessons will be rescheduled or refunded.
We cannot provide a rescheduling lesson or credit if you miss your lesson for any
other reason (e.g. illness, sick, funeral, travel).
The tutor cannot extend the lesson time if the student arrives late.
Teaching terms are 10 weeks so if a student decides to take lessons you will be
invoiced for 10 weeks' lessons. Please check the school term schedule before
students decide to travel.
Travel fees cannot be refunded where changes are made to travel
arrangements during the teaching term, e.g. where online lessons or studio
lessons replace in-home lessons temporarily while a student is overseas, or
before an instrument is purchased. This is to allow for travel time between
students even when there are changes in lesson location.
The tutor cannot refund or credit any missed lessons unless the student finds another
person who can cover the same slot in the same week that you missed. Rescheduled
lessons are only available when other students cancel lessons the same week and
you want to take over the slot.
PRACTICE
Mastering an instrument is as much about practising as musical talent, like learning new languages. Students should practise regularly – preferably every day as a habit. Short, frequent practice is the most effective way to learn, especially for beginners. It is important to have family support to master piano.
TUTORS
The ultimate goal of the lesson is for all students involved to love the piano for the rest of their lives and to enjoy music and the piano on their own. The tutor will always aim to improve their teaching without losing their passion for music and education.
