"Thank you for all the efforts to accommodate our daughters during lockdown.

Natsuki has been tremendous in catering to the needs of my kids in an online learning environment."

"Thank you for teaching us from May. My daughter learned with another teacher during term 1, but she was crying each time she went to her lesson and wish I stopped those lessons earlier.

Thank you for being so kind and diligent throughout your lessons."

“Natsuki is a wonderful teacher. She always brings kindness and enthusiasm to her lessons, motivating her students and making them feel comfortable, praising little steps and always lifting the mood. Natsuki has a great knowledge of not only classical piano repertoire, but also Celtic folk, Japanese and Western pop, and film soundtracks.

It's not often you find someone comfortable in teaching music in two languages at levels from beginner to advanced, but Natsuki brings her kindness and expertise when she teaches in both Japanese and English. Natsuki is a big proponent of holistic education, and she brings her own spin on teaching students technique, reading, theory, listening, singing, being comfortable with different keys, rhythms and styles, all while enjoying and absorbing the music. She brings not only her own Pace Method training but what she has learned from so many teachers, musicians and students together in harmony.

I had some great lessons with Natsuki where she taught me more advanced classical musicianship - how to balance phrases, restrain but still pull emotionally with dynamics, and the importance of circular movements in technique.

For anyone starting out or continuing to learn at the piano with an interest in Mozart, Altan, Joe Hisaishi or with any pop requests, I thoroughly recommend Natsuki, and I hope many others continue to benefit from her teaching.”

“Thank you for making my daughter progress so much despite the lockdown, I am very impressed! Thank you again.”

“Thank you Natsuki!
I really appreciate you being there today and helping me. I have a lot to learn from you with how you are so organised!

"Natsuki is a kind and conscientious person with a genuine passion for music education.

She currently teaches piano and keyboard (individual and group lessons) every week at several of our partner schools in Auckland.

You can trust Natsuki to be thoroughly ready for her lessons, approach each situation with a positive attitude, and always be willing to go the extra mile for the customer.

We are very lucky to have Natsuki on the Lewis Eady Music School teaching team!"

“My son and husband started Natsuki's lesson first.

I've been learning piano in Japan for about 10 years when I was young, so I thought it was not necessary to take lessons, so at first I just watched their lessons.

But then I started thinking, "I want to play piano too again!" and started taking lessons.

When I was young, I hate to practice piano.
But Natsuki teaches me things that evemn aren't written in the score, and I learn a lot.
She draws out my imagination to make story of the piece, in order to understand the context of piece and background, and make it easier to put my feelings into it.
She taught me techniques with clearly explained. Such as when the melody play with Forte(loud), she mentioned rather than strongly hitting keys, use whole back muscle to push key forward to put gravity on. This technique make sound more better and like entire piano is singing.
I can more understand how to play piano with those techniques and midset viewing through Natsuki's eyes with sense.
I was happy when I understood it and when I was able to express it. And it's fun to practice with it.

After I started taking lessons with Natsuki, I fell in love with playing the piano more.

From now on, I would like to continue to enjoy practicing with Natsuki as a entire family.”

“I am very satisfied with the lessons. My 8 year old son already knows many things I didn't, and can play with both hands already.
His progression was really quick, different from traditional teaching page-by-page.
My hope is that my children will enjoy music their whole lives”

"I have been learning to play piano with Natsuki sensei since 2019.
I am in my 50s and started with zero musical background or ability.
Once a week, my son, my wife and myself each enjoy 30 minutes with Natsuki sensei.
I am working through the trinity levels which is challenging but Natsuki sensei is simply amazing and gives me confidence.
She is patient, respectful and kind. She knows how to allow the lessons to be student centred but also challenges and motivates well.
In an hour and a half with my family, Natsuki sensei adapts to teach a 6 year old, myself as an absolute beginner and my wife who is a good player.
I enjoy the time immensely.
It is especially enjoyable learning as a family and then being able to play some songs at Christmas."

“My son started taking lessons when he was a little over five years old.

Even though my son was young beginner, Natsuki was kind and patient with him, making the lesson fun to not get bored.

When I was a child, I learned to play the piano in Japan.

However, Natsuki teaching method is more easy to learn and also practical I found.

Of course the score was appropriate for the level, but when I first saw it, I was surprised. And this looks fun! I thought.

It's a simple and short song, but it's a way more proper piece rather than learning just playing so many same notes. Children can feel satisfaction and confidence like "I can play the song!".

My son loves arts since he was young but he became more interested in music since taking lessons with her.

I am very much looking forward to seeing my son become great pianist for the future.”

"Thank you Natsuki, I have learned a lot of songs from you.
Your teaching style is different from traditional Japanese piano lessons and was fun.
Also I was happy to try your harp.
I want to find piano teacher like you when I come back to Japan"
